Our mission here at FITC is
to provide a resource where anyone can go to find out about
various events happening in New York City; but unlike other
event listings, this is a Christian based website. Our hope
is to see Christians support and fellowship with one another
as Christ has called us to do (Romans 12:5), and through this
site, provide them various opportunities to do so. Whether
it is through a Christian concert, a clean comedy night, church
function, or even a city-sponsored event…our passion
is getting and keeping people connected to the body of Christ.
It is also our goal to provide opportunities and places where
we can reach out to our co-workers, friends and family by
inviting them to safe and/or neutral places i.e. sporting
events, concerts, coffeehouses, bible studies, etc.
You may notice that not all the events
listed on FITC are “Christian”; this is because
our website is intended to be a resource for everyone who
is seeking different types of events, including Christian
events. We realize that some Christians may not agree with
everything that is posted, and thus we rely only on our personal
intentions and convictions when choosing these events. Our
main goal is to encourage one another to get together. However,
in no way do we want to encourage anyone to go against his
or her own Christian beliefs, convictions, and boundaries.
Thank you to everyone who makes this
website possible through your prayers, financial support,
and those of you who keep us in the loop and contribute to
our site by posting your events! We are truly excited to see
where God takes all this and we hope that you enjoy this website
as much as we enjoy putting it together.
